Please note that as part of our fundraising efforts for the coming season we will be holding a ‘Race Night’ on Saturday 8th November in the Sunnybank Hotel, Glasnevin (starting at 8pm sharp).
We appreciate that it is a difficult time financially for most people, however our aim is to keep our annual fees down to an affordable level. As a committee we have set ourselves a target to fundraise €10,000 this year – this is about 20% of the annual cost of running the club. If we achieve this fundraising target it effectively means we are reducing our annual fees by 20% – we would therefore appreciate your continued support.
- We will be showing ten films of actual horse races on the night. We are looking for sponsors for each race. The cost of sponsoring a race is €100 – in return the race will be named in your honour & your name and/or company logo will be printed on the race programme.
- There are ten horses in each race. We are selling horses & jockeys in each race for €10. The owner of the winning horse & the winning jockey will each receive €50 in prize money.
- We will also have a tote table set up on the night where you can place bets of €2. You will be given a ticket for each bet and if your horse wins you can collect your winnings from the tote table.
