Saturday 13th November 2021 saw the return of the U19 Cups to University Limerick for the first time since 2019.
Five girls teams took to the water, with Diamonds WPC and St Vincents progressing to the final on Sunday afternoon, with St Vincents narrowly coming out on top with a 10-9 finish.
The boy’s competition also began with five teams, with tight matches all round. St Vincents WPC took the double on Sunday evening with a nail-biting 5-4 win over North Dublin in the final of the boy’s cup.
There were many notable performances over the weekend, but ultimately it was St Vincents, Sam O’Dwyer taking the boys MVP, and Diamonds Ellen Loane taking the girls MVP.
It was another great weekend of polo, made possible by our volunteers who give so much back to their sport. A big thank you to all of our referees and officials and our Tournament Director, Ian Hanrahan, who kept the show on the road!
